TOUR DESCRIPTION
The journey leaves Richards Bay and travels north along the coast to KwaZulu-Natal's northern region. After leaving Richards Bay, it would take you one to two hours to reach the Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Game Reserve gate. You will go on a closed-car game drive in the park to look for the Big 5 and other different animals.
The Hluhluwe Imfolozi Game Reserve is located in the center of Zululand, where the thriving savannah is home to Africa's Big 5: lions, elephants, leopards, buffalo, and rhinoceroses. This park, which was created in 1895, is the oldest in South Africa and spans more than 98 000 hectares of breathtaking African terrain. This is an open-air tour vehicle. The Park is distinguished by its mountainous topography and enormous diversity of flora and wildlife. The park has a wide variety of animals on its roster. The reserve's northernmost portion, known for its wide range of avian and mammal species, is home to Hluhluwe Game Reserve. Half of the park is made up of the Imfolozi Game Reserve, which is located south of Hluhluwe. The combined size of these two reserves is the largest reserve in KwaZulu Natal. One notable aspect of the Hluhluwe Imfolozi Reserve is the conservation of white rhinos. its Centennial Capture Center is renowned for both its approach to sustainable ecotourism in South Africa and for its outstanding research in animal capture, rehabilitation, and release.
Your guide will take a break for lunch at Hilltop Camp (at your own expense), allowing you to rest and recharge. We will either visit the Centenary Centre, a wildlife holding facility with an amazing craft shop, museum, and information center connected, or we will head to the restaurant at the top of the hill, where guests may enjoy the scenery of the camp and nearby surroundings. It was built to provide tourists the opportunity to see animals as they were being transported to new homes, and it includes antelope pens and rhino cages.
